Appearance: Thorfinn could be very handsome, only he pretty much never combs his pretty blonde hair so its always a mess and looks like he could have fleasIts happened before okay he has brown eyes and a fair skin tone. He is a short lad, even for his time he was a tiny kid. Around 5'4 he is built like a brick house, he's lithe, and will likely never be like a huge lumbering type but he's pretty ripped for a kid. He's been fighting with Viking pirates since he was 5, so slacking not really a thing for him. Though he has no facial scars he himself is covered in scars from years of hard warfare. One of the most noticeable is a thick scar from his shoulder down his chest.
History: Thorfinn was the only son of Helga daughter of the Jomsvikings king and Thors the Trolls. After the birth of his older sister Yufa, Thors and Helga ran to Iceland to be free of violence and raise their family in peace. To do this they faked Thors death.
Thorfinn grew up happy and surrounded by people who loves him up until a man named Floki arrived on the island to ask Thors to come back for one last seige, pretty much making it look like he would burn the village if Thors didn't come. Thorfinn was mia as he had been upset over a spanking he got... Having tried to take one of his father's knives to knife a kid that beat him in lock battle. Everyone assumed Thorfinn was sulking as his father sailed away. The truth he sowed away in a barrel on his father's ship. He wasn't discovered until much to late to turn around. Though Thors was mad or seemed okay, up until a big problem arrived by the name of Askeladd. A famous pitate. Askeladd was hired by Floki to murder Thors, and to save Thorfinn, Thors forfitted his life. Young Thorfinn watched as his father was shot to death with Arrows. And yet again he snuck on another boat. Askeladds, swearing at the top of his little lungs that he would avenge his father in an honorable duel.
This is how Thorfinns innocence died. From then on this tiny child was one of Askeladds men. Of course he would curse anyone out that called him as much, but he had to carry his own and grow strong. Askeladd actually wasn't bad to the boy, he raised him like his own but under the guise of 'if you want my head you earn it.' Thorfinn free into the littlest badads in a crew of badasses. Of course his view of the world was skewed by this he regularly got woken up by men trying to rape women where ever he slept. He didn't have any interest in these things, but did see himself as higher than the slaves they would take from towns they saked.
Things took a turn for the worst after the group faced off with the monsterous Thorkell the Tall, who turned out to be none other than Thorfinn maternal uncle. Thorfinn cut off two of the man's fingers to escape the battle alive but suffered broken ribs himself. In their way back across the land Askeladd got the bright idea to kidnap one of the prince's of Denmark to return him and be rewarded for it... Only the king didn't care about his youngest son. Not that it was figured out right away.
After the sucessful kidnapping, Thorfinn was made the prince's bodyguard, where he showed again how little fucks he had to give by telling the prince off more than once. Things started to go downhill as a bad snow storm drifted in. The party knew they needed to camp or die... So they murdered a whole village calling it a mercy as if they had just taken the food the people would die anyway. They figured they had till spring but Thorkell was already on their trail and coming fast. So, they bailed and ran through Wales, which was only allowed because Askeladd was half Welsh, half Dane. The son of a kidnapped and raped Princess named Lydia. Unfortunely, Thorkell still caught up. And by then the party was calling mutiny. Feeling Askeladd was no longer lucky they wanted to break free and give the prince to Thorkell to be spared. Askeladd knew the only two he could trust were Thorfinn and his long time second in command Bjorn. Thorfinn and Bjorn were told to take the prince and run, but, well Thorfinn can't let go of Askeladd. Not with his revenge unfulfilled. He reached Askeladd in time to see the man pretty messed up, but Thorkell arrived and didn't kill Thorfinn and Askeladd, no he killed the mutineers and fought Thorfinn breaking his arm in the process. He also told Thorfinn about his parents while Askeladd splinted his arm. Some stuff was happening with the prince over with Bjorn, so by the time the prince arrived he had a new outlook stopping the duel and telling the three they are now his vessels and they will come with him to kill the king.
By the time they reach the capital of Denmark it's clear Bjorn will die from his injuries so, Askeladd stops his promised duel with Thorfinn to duel Bjorn iinstead so he can die a warrior. As Bjorn does he tells Askeladd all he ever wanted was to be his friend. Its known Askeladd hated the Vikings. Askeladd sits the prince and Thorfinn down and explains to how you truly kill someone you hate. Thorfinn again loses the duel, Askeladd hitting him harder since he's really angry for once and tells him his problem is letting his rage control him. He loses his cool and focus.
Thorfinn goes off to mope alone instead of joining the others for a feast with the king. He starts hearing screaming and runs into the great hall... To find Askeladd soaked in blood surrounded by bodies looking insane. He rushed to try as stop and help him but Askeladd is killed by the prince before his eyes.
His life goal shattered before his eyes. Askeladds earlier words about what would he do with his life once he was dead starts playing in his head as Thorfinn breaks. The prince moves forward to say something to Thorfinn and Thorfinn lashes out, slashing Canute across the face. The royal guards tackle him down as Canute tells them not to kill Thorfinn, instead he sells Thorfinn into slavery as attacking royalty is punishable by death.

Thorfinn at six saw his father murdered in front of his eyes. From that day his smile vanished. Thorfinn's innocence died with his father, he had to give up his childhood to live by the skin of his teeth and march along side of seasoned warriors. He doesn't really know or trust happiness anymore. Constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. The reason he does this is to avenge his father by killing his father's murderer Askeladd in an honorable duel so his father's spirit can finally rest.
To this he becomes a puppet for Askeladd, though he is very headstrong on the fact he is NOT one of Askleladd's men, and is the man's enemy he is pretty much the man's puppet. Putting himself in dangerous situations to earn these duels. Thorfinn has a hot temper that tends to blind him, though he is a very skilled warrior that temper distracts him and leaves him opened to attacks. It is something Askeladd keeps taunting him on. But, Thorfinn is stubborn as can be and wants his way even if it means rolling in something he hates for a long time.
Though he grew up with these horrible men, he is also very disgusted by them and when he is not working with them in battle he tends to be off by himself, preferring his solitude and to depend on himself. The men however counted him in their ranks to the point that they even offered to share spoils of war with him ( a woman they were rapping while he was trying to sleep) to which he disgustedly walks off in a huff. Thorfinn's stubbornness also plays into how he survives some crazy stuff and manages to always pull off whatever Askeladd has ordered of him. Even if he spends the whole while cursing he WONT give up. Its not in him.
Though it's important to point out that coming in Thorfinn's just taken the second worst blow in his life, arguably the worst considering he was 6 when Thors was killed. His life and drive were about avenging his father, killing Askeladd…but he witnessed someone else do it. Some he had been ordered to protect, and something in him broke. As Askeladd had asked him more than once, how would he live what would he do once he was dead? Thorfinn was empty and broken inside when Askeladd died, his purpose gone and he isn't sure how to move forward. So, depending on how things play out would bring either the violent boy back out, or the future pacifist he eventually grew up to be.
Powers/Abilities/Talents: He's a human, but highly skilled having lived with coming pirates since he was 5 years old and told to hold his own or be left behind. He is stubborn as hell.
What 4 items would you like your character too have with them on the island during their stay? His father's short blade, the old woman's comb, his napsack, and Askeladd's sword (preferably stained in blood).

[ There's rage building as he says the words, his eyes going wide as he throws the device as hard as he can.] Father! I'm sorry! [ he sinks down, everything is just jumbled. He buries his hands in his messy blonde locks. There's no crying. he let himself cry once he wont do that again.]
I need a battle. [ he says low.] Someone send me to Valhalla...
